When Your World Changes

“The grass withers, the flowers fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Isaiah 40:8″

When your world changes, sometimes it happens all at once or slowly over time. The change may be the loss of a job, a cancer diagnoses, the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a move, or a hundred other things. It can be a really tough season when our world changes. How do you cope?

Recently, a driller from Covenant Baptist in Valdosta, shared Isaiah 40:8 with us. This verse is one that our children’s drillers are memorizing this year. She reminded us “that even though earthly things come and go, we can rest in the confidence that God’s promises are eternal.”

I am so thankful in a constantly changing world, that we can cling to Him, His Word, and His promises.
